Hi to the sudents and teachers who participated in the Skype session!
The photos published on Wiki TV demonstrate a great interest in the discussion. Well done!!!

The Ukrainian students are ready to take part in the next Skype conference!

Last year we had a Skype conference with the students from Notre Dame de Sion High School, Kansas City, Missoury, the USA. It was a wonderful experience!

Hey guys!
I was amazed to hear about your Skype conference.
So, can you tell us about the conference in detail?
It would be great if students from both countries will post their impressions in comments, cause Ukrainian students want to know more about it:)
Thank you:)

hello we told you so charming talking to the guys from EE. UU because some of them speak a little Spanish as we speak a little English,
some colleagues speak a little English but paused half, if we have a little patience if you could make a skipe.

Hi Nataliya and Diana:

We talked on skype Bill's school in America, because many of them students also speak Spanish.
We could talk to you but few pupils speak English well today, they have to train a little longer to talk. The other option is that we use a few students as translators.

My students use the google translator for support to answer your questions. They need more practice to speak.

Best regards

Ana

Hi All,
We had a nice discussion about cultural topics in English. Then students in our spanish class discussed topics related to Challenge 20/20 with students in Argentina. It was a great experience. We would love to skype with students in the Ukraine but I thought the time difference made this almost impossible. Let's explore this and see if there would be a time when we would both be in school.
Best regards,
Bill

Hi Bill and Ana,
Colorado and Ukraine have a 9 hour time difference, Argentina and Ukraine have a 5 hour time difference. It's easy for us to communicate with Argentina at 2 p.m Ukrainian time ( 9 a.m Argentinian time). Our students are at school at that time. Which day is fine with you Ana?

As for skyping with the US students, we have to think of the possible way how to do it. If to make it at 8.a.m Colorado time, then it's 5 p.m. in Ukraine. Can your students come that early?
Best,
Nataliya

Hi Nataliya,
Yes, our students start school at 8 AM and may be able to come in a little earlier if necessary.
Cheers,
Bill

Hi Nataliya:
Our choice would be to use a student translator. Perhaps at times we need to write and use the translator speak or understand. It will take longer each topic.
By e-mail I will send you my schedule.
Best regards.
Ana

Hi Bill,
Good news about the possibility for your students to come early. On the other hand our students will stay in school after classes to talk to your students. I think we will have a Skype session in the second part of January 2014 and will be able to sum up our collaboration.
Best,
Nataliya

Hi Ana,
We can think of the questions for the discussion beforehand in order to make it easier for our students to understand each other.
Best,
Nataliya

Hi Nataliya,
January will be a good time for us. I will look for dates when I have students at 8AM and send you a few possibilities.
Best,
Bill
