First, there's a dinner in the Osborne's house. Mr Osborne and his son - George sit at the table and they have their dishes. Father and son argue the whole evening about George's feelings to Amelia Sedley and about their relationships. After that, Mr Osborne says that he doesn't want these relationships between Amelia and his son. He also adds that he doesn't allow George to live with Amelia in his house. Then George Osborne decides to marry Amelia. The next day they have a quiet and secret wedding ceremony. Captain Dobbin helpes them to organize their wedding. After that, the young couple leaves the church and goes for a little honeymoon. Then they meet Becky and her husband - Rawdon Crawley in Brighton. Two young couples meet, communicate with each other almost every day. They share their impressions of their weddings. Men play games of cards and billiard. And Becky and Rawdon spend their money freely. They are sure that Rawdon's aunt - Miss Crawley will leave all her reaches for them. In addition, George Osborne changes his mind about Becky. Now, he thinks that she is charming, clever, amusing and stylish.
First, Becky and George are on the balcony. They talk, laugh a lot and just have fun. Rebecca tells George about her family problems. After that, the next day, Dobbin arrives in Brighton with two pieces of news. The one is for everyone and the second - for George. Firstly, he tells everyone that the war is nearby and that Napoleon is going to attack in less than three weeks. Secondly, Dobbin comes up to George and gives him a letter from his father's lawyer. Mr Osborne doesn't recognize him as his son and he isn't going to give George no money on his death. George becomes anxious. He worries about his family because they don't have enough money. Then he talks to Amelia and they try to solve the money problem. George thinks that Amelia doesn't deserve to live the poor life of an ordinary army wife. But Amelia says that she's happy with George either with money or without it. After that, Becky and Rawdon argues. Becky wants to go on the war with her husband, but Rawdon wants Becky to be in a safe place. Eventually, everybody agrees to go to London and to prepare for Brussels together.
First, Rawdon and Becky write a letter for Miss Crawley - Rawdon's aunt.
Miss Crawley receives the letter and laughs.
She guesses that there is Becky's help and words in the letter, because Rawdon always writes with mistakes.
But there is no mistake in this letter. Miss Crawley gives them only twenty pounds.
That's not enough for the young Crawleys' family.
Then George meets his father's lawyer - Mr. Higgs to get his two thousand pounds.
The lawyer is too cool and distant with George, but he doesn't care.
After that, Amelia has an opportunity to meet with her parents and she's very happy.
Amelia and George are happy to spend two weeks in Brussels. George takes his wife out every night.
They go to the opera and buy a lot of gifts for Amelia. Once, they meet Crawleys in the park.
Then George and Rawdon agree on a game of cards in the evening. But Dobbin advises George not to play with Rawdon.
Two families meet again in the opera. Becky runs up to Amelia and kisses her.
Dobbin tells George that Becky is a slippery little snake, but George doesn't agree.
He is convinced that Becky loves him.
