Describe the prototypes that you are developing. How will they improve the quality of life for your patient? What problems are you having that your partners may be able to help with?

My group and I started working on a prodotype that delivers iron directly into your blood stream. Basically our idea is a patch that has little needles that inject iron into your veins. More details will follow.

One of the best websites I have used is injectafer.com It ranges from basic information like understanding the disease- to indepth information about treating the disease. I am exploring what treatments are being used now to treat anemia, and which ones have the most affects. This upcoming week, I will be working on a prodotype that will make life easier for patients who have that the condition.

Recently, my group and I discover a great website called Med Line plus. The site has multiple drop down menu’s that go through everything you need to know. We are currently exploring how Anemia specifically effects certain organs and how anemia causes certian symptoms. By the upcoming week we would like to have a complete set of notes regarding all the information there is on anemia and start work on our prototype. -noah sohn

Recently, me and my group found a great website called National, Heart, Lung, and blood Institute (https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health-topics/anemia). It was very useful to me because as the dietion, I need to know a lot of iron rich foods that can help the triathlete get the needed calories. It listed a lot of examples of iron rich foods that I can use to make my meal plan. The website also helped our group learn a lot about the basic information about iron deficiency anemia, hemoglobin, red blood cells, and which organs anemia most affects.

Recently, my group and I have researched with a website called Mayo Clinic (https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/anemia/symptoms-causes/syc-20351360). This website allows you to research many different things about anemia. There are also many different symptoms and many listed food that have iron in them. This helps me come up with a medicine to help treat anemia because I am the pharmaceutical researcher. I am exploring how to get iron into your system and different medications also helping with it. My job is to come up with drugs or medications that could help or impact the anemia that you have. My goal this week is to research more and come up with a prototype.
